Inspired by pigments used in the Italian Renaissance, Sombra Quemada recalls the hillside earth tones of Tuscany and Umbria. Achieved by dyeing dark grey shades of wool with marigold and cochineal, this earthy hue carries a sense of warmth and can best be described as a reddish-brown color with undertones of orange or terracotta.
