Our rugs are handwoven on pedal looms by master weavers in San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, and Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca. Our Compound Weave has its roots in the textile traditions of Sardinia, Italy. This is an example of how Maddalena integrates her formal textile training from Italy into pieces created in Mexico.
