timeless aesthetic. Based in Oaxaca City, Mexico, we work with talented artisans to make beautiful
handmade textiles for the luxury home décor sector. We do custom-made design projects as well as
wholesale for particular items.

We have recently expanded our sales potential with the execution of multiple wholesale contracts. Our
products are now available through showrooms in New York, Chicago, Los Angles, San Francisco, and
Vancouver Canada. We are on track to quadruple sales and need to expand operations to meet this
demand.
Job Summary
This Oaxaca based position offers profit sharing and partnership opportunities with proven results. This
is an upper management position that is responsible for both business and operational strategy
development and implementation. Be on the management team of an emerging, socially responsible,
functional fine art textile studio.
The Director of Operations will oversee the day-to-day activities of the company, as well as the long-
term planning ensuring that the company is managed and performing efficiently and effectively. We are
seeking someone who can invent, adapt and scale internal systems/processes and create efficiencies
and structure for future growth while continuously keeping all processes moving forward and ensuring
on time delivery of orders at the quality we aspire to.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of Production Coordinator, Office Manager/Bookkeeper and Studio Assistants.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive in collaboration with co-founders.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company’s efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates accounting procedures, including cash flow and profitability tracking.
Performs analysis to ensure maximum efficiency and return for resource allocation
Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations.
Ensures work environments are adequate and safe.
Oversees manufacturing of all products, purchasing materials, and Studio ensuring each order is completed to the quality standards, shipped on time and trouble shoots any issues
Plans, implements, evaluates/analyzes, monitors, and forecasts budgets and cost of products,
operations expenses, to achieve financial objectives.
Develops and Communicates new directives, policies, or procedures to staff; for major changes,
meets with entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.
Improves customer/client service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes and
overseeing Production Coordinator.
Leads coordination and integration of efforts among producers/makers to ensure smoother
workflow and more cost-effective business processes.
Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and
community.
Regularly communicates in a timely fashion with key personnel both internal and external
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Required to reside in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in business, accounting, and finance.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Advanced excel skills for costing, budgeting, projecting etc.
Experience managing people.
Desired Skills/Abilities:

Experience with quick books or other accounting software.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Interest and knowledge of textiles or the handmade sector.

Experience and or understanding of export and supply chains.

Adaptable and takes initiative.
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in Business Administration is highly desired, or
Combination of undergraduate degree and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
